Kent County has so much to offer, let’s show the world! They say a picture is worth a thousand words. What do you have to say about living, working, and playing in Kent County?

Photos of our beautiful county take our breath away.  Kent County Economic & Tourism Development's current photo library needs an upgrade. We want fresh perspectives and voices in our public image. 

That's where you come in! 

Submit your Kent County photo(s) to our contest for a chance to see your photography in a regional or national publication and show off your favorite parts of Kent County. 

We welcome all contestants regardless of age or skill level to highlight what makes Kent County... well, Kent County!

Rules & Regulations


  • Entries must be submitted through online entry form as JPEG or PNG files.

  • Each entry form should be filled out completely by contestant and/or the parent/guardian of photographer if contestant is under the age of 18.

  • All photo entries must have been taken in Kent County, Maryland.

  • Any photographs including identifiable images of people must include subject’s permission.

  • The photographs must be your own original creations. You must be the sole owner of the copyright of any photograph(s) submitted. Your submission of each photograph is your guarantee that you are the author and copyright holder of such photograph.

  • All photographs must be unaltered beyond basic photo editing and enhancements. Use of filters on entries is prohibited. All photos must be a resolution of 300 dpi or higher.

  • By entering, you also warrant that the image does not violate or infringe upon the copyright, trademark, rights of publicity, privacy, or any other intellectual property or other rights of any person or entity.

  • All photographs become the property of the Kent County Department of Economic and Tourism Development. By virtue of their entry, contestants agree that the Kent County Department of Economic and Tourism Development may adapt, edit, and/or modify their photographs in any way and may also publish or otherwise use their photographs for promotional or other purposes without your prior approval or inspection and without right to royalties or any other compensation. You also agree to fully and forever release, discharge, indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Kent County Department of Economic and Tourism Development from any and all claims arising out of the publication or use of the photograph as described in these rules.

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to enter or have the consent of your legal guardian if under the age of 18.

  • If the contestant is under the age of 18 the Contest Rules and Waiver Form must be downloaded, signed and uploaded to the online entry form. Both the photographer and the photographer’s legal guardian must sign the form to acknowledge and accept all terms on behalf of the photographer and provide consent of entry. 

All entries must acknowledge and accept the rules and waiver as outlined above.

to the online entry form for submission to be valid.
